A day in the Life of a CCG MegaGame

Megagames come in two types the Week long game and the Weekend event.

The Weeklong game is played as a series on 1-2 Day operations defined in advance by the senior command teams of each side. These are usually discussed extensively prior to the event  with all the participants via our Yahoo groups.

A normal days activities run as follows.

09:30 Start the day's play, most tables get underway earlier than this .

13:00 Stop for lunch.

13:30 Play restarts

17:30 Endgame:  If an operation is concluding then it's time to see who has reached their specified objectives, or held on to them as appropriate.  This information is recorded by the umpire team. Casualties are recorded on the Unit Control Logs and these are returned to the umpire team.  All models are returned to their storage boxes.

18:30 The umpire team review the days progress with the individual command teams and confirm or modify their intentions for the following days operations

19:00  Dinner and welcome it will be.

20:00  Briefing for the next days operations.  Each command team reviews the day with their team and briefs them on the intentions and situations for the following days play.

20:30 Table set up:  Players not leading tables for the next days play assist in setting up the required tables to match the maps provided by the umpire team.

20:30   Specific table briefings:  Corps commanders brief the lead players for their particular operations advising specific objectives and boundaries. Also confirming support available and likely reinforcement schedule.
